Privacy Policy

Rindu("Rindu", "we", "us") is a private app for paired couples. This policy describes what data the mobile app collects, how it is used, and your choices. The app is designed for exactly two people in a couple — not a public social network.

• Location — foreground and background GPS coordinates, accuracy, speed, heading, and motion-related signals to power shared distance and optional place alerts (e.g. Home, Work).
• Motion — device motion data to infer travel vs rest and reduce battery use for location updates.
• Microphone — when you record async voice notes for your partner (only while recording).
• Device & app telemetry — battery level/charging state, low power mode, network type, push notification permission, iOS location permission status, app version, build number, timezone, and last app open time.
• Profile — display name, optional avatar, sleep/work windows, and home timezone you set in the app.
• Push token — Expo/APNs token to deliver notifications to your device.
• Places — geofences you add (name, coordinates, radius), including hidden places managed for testing.

• Show shared distance and partner presence on the home screen widget.
• Send optional enter/leave alerts when a partner reaches a named place.
• Power async games, voice notes, and other couple-private features.
• Maintain reliability, debug issues, and improve the app experience.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites (Apple App Tracking Transparency: off).

Data is scoped to your couple. Row Level Security in our database limits access so only you and your paired partner can read shared couple data. Rindu staff admin tools are restricted to authorized operators for support and platform administration.

• Supabase — authentication, database, and backend hosting.
• Expo / Apple Push Notification service — delivering push notifications to iOS devices.
• Apple — TestFlight and App Store distribution.

These providers process data on our behalf under agreements that require appropriate protection of your information.

The mobile app uses device-bound anonymous sign-in — you are not required to provide an email or password in the app. Pairing connects two devices into one couple via a single-use code.

We retain data while your couple account is active and as needed to operate the service. To request deletion of your data or close a couple account, contact us at support@rindu.app. We will respond within a reasonable time and delete or anonymize data unless we must retain it for legal obligations.

Rindu is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
